Job 2:5

And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.

But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.

When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.
